Mon Dieu, ce Vendredi!

Yesterday was yet another day here in Paris. I went to my morning classes, and then came home for lunch; I had a salade de pate (pasta salad) and some more pain au chocolat. Co, D, S, and I went for a stroll around the Jardin du Luxembourg after class.



I also got my NAVIGO pass, which is a transportation pass for the metro that you buy once a month and it gives you unlimited rides. It's what the real Parisians use, so I felt really cool. :-)



Last night was crepes for dinner, and salad--my host mother makes the BEST vinigarette.

I also decided yesterday that I want to (no wait) I NEED to work. I need more money, since I am almost out of the little bit I saved up! But it makes sense--$500 becomes $350 after being converted to Euros. So I decided I need a job HERE that pays in Euros. And then I can take off running back to the States and be BALL-LIN! :-)

Pray for me ya'll. I've applied to be a be a babysitter. (Mom, to answer your question, I did ask my host mom, she said that her kids were already grown up, so all the moms she knows has grown kids as well. But I tried to soothe your motherly instincts.)

And today, I am sick. Very sick. Lot's of sniffling and coughing and fatigue. I sound like an ad for cold medicine.

BUT I feel relatively okay (no aches and pains, no blinding migranes) so hopefully I'll be back on my feet by tomorrow. I already had to turn down two of my friends to go out exploring today! :-(

NOW, I want lunch. Soup. But I have to go find it first, as my host mom is out for the day. Wish me bon chance!
