Mickey et Ses Amis

So this for you Dad, since you're so eagerly awaiting my every post. ;-)

This weekend was BLOODY FANTASTIC!

On Friday, L came over and did my hair. She cut it as well, which I was initially very wary about but she didn't really give me a chance to protest, she just kept going. L is a force of nature when she wants to be. :-) But my hair turned out wonderfully! It's shorter than I'm used to, but it's edgy and fresh, and I really like it! Hopefully now I won't have to get it done again until I'm back in Texas.

On Saturday, B and I went to...DISNEYLAND PARIS!!! It was SO awesome. We met at my local Metro station and took the RER about 30 minutes out of the city. We went up the escalator and could see the park gates through the station window! We geeked out and started singing Disney songs, happily skipping through the station and banged into the turnstiles.

Apparently, you have to swipe your pass when you exit the stations as well. So we did, and they didn't work! When we went to the automated kiosk, it said it cost 25euro. I was not paying 25euro to go through a freakin gate.

So we only had one available option.

We slid in after someone else. Shhh!

After the Metro incident, we were fine, and we enjoyed the rest of the day, the fruits of which are available for your viewing pleasure below.

I saw this and immediately thought of Aiden. He would freak out if he knew that this Cars-themed gas station actually existed!

So we totally sang and danced along to High School Musical. B knew all the words and the coreography, too! We literally danced and skipped out the park HSM style.

I couldn't help myself. But its the Cap'n!

Sunday, I went with Z to the Invalides, where Napoleon was buried. It was pretty cool, and we were proud of ourselves for doing something educational on a weekend. :-)

This week, I started my new French courses. I am offcially no longer a beginniner! I am now at the intermediate level of Francais.

This weekend, my host mother is going back to Creuse. I haven't decided yet whether or not I want to go. It's beautiful, but there is no internet. I'll keep you posted on my decision.

A bientot!
